Cleaning Contract Terms of Agreement
Statement:
Cleaning
contracts are defined as the two step process of removing all dirt etc... from a jeweled item and then polishing it into
a professional shine.
Some gemstone and diamond jewelry are intricate in
detail and require various forms of cleaning, some more expensive than others. Many require more than one cleaning method,
thus more time and materials are needed to complete the job. Thereunder, FHJ Cleaning Contracts are primarily for FHJ customers,
as the jewelry designs are crafted with cleaning in mind aforehand, and can be cleaned and polished without damaging the integrity
of the piece. However, FHJ will consider Cleaning Contracts with "other" jewelry on a case by case basis.
Cleaning Agreement
FHJ agrees to receive by delivery, jewelry pieces that it's customers have purchased from the FHJ
Jewelry Store; and that those jewelry pieces received will be cleaned and polished to the condition of their original construction
appearance. That this cleaning and polishing (C&P) process will require no more than 24 hours (on weekdays M-F) to
complete, at which time the jewelry is returned to the customer by parcel shipment, enclosed in the same packaging to which
it was received.
The FHJ process of receiving, cleaning & polishing (C&P),
and returning the jewelry to the customer is documented with photographs beginning at the receipt and opening of the parcel,
each step until the jewelry is repackaged and mailed back to the customer. These photographs are for internal office use only
and are not published, sold, given away or otherwise removed from FHJ's primary business in Mobile, Alabama.
Cleaning Agreement Costs
Costs associated with the cleaning and polishing (C&P) of a handcrafted jewelry piece will
depend largely upon the condition of the jewelry item when received by FHJ. Simple C&P two step processes are 6.95
for each C&P item. Polishing more than three (3) items at a time will reduce this cost to 4.95 for each jewelry piece.
Polishing contracts for ten (10) or more FHJ jewelry pieces are 3.49 for each jewelry item. Heavily scarred, or blackened
jewelry will require Ionic Cleaning as well as the two step C&P process, and are priced at 11.95 for the first cleaning
and then will revert back to the two step pricing thereafter, as long as the C&P Contract does not lapse for mote than
6 months.
Selecting the C&P time period in the Request a Cleaning Contract
form will determine your timetable and cost for your FHJ C&P Contract.
Upon
completion of the form, the customer ordering the contract is sent an FHJ Invoice payment link through PayPal. Once payment
is made by the customer, the cleaning contract becomes effective. Jewelry items can be mailed in at the discretion
of the customer, and each C&P performed by FHJ will count toward your contract total. C&P contracts can be fulfilled
earlier or later than their execution date, as the contract is for a predefined number of C&P sessions, not necessarily
in any particular short term time frame, as long as the total time does not exceed two years.
